On Sep. 9 2009 Google made some modifications to their site design.

First of all, they changed the font size of the search bar. Fine with me, but they also made another idiotic change that really makes me mad! Before Sep 9, search results were shown on a page with fluid width as shown on the figure below

After the Sep 9 change, Google’s result pages now have a maximum width of somewhat like 1024 pixels. “So what you might think?” I’ll tell you. Some of us can afford screens bigger than the ones found on netbooks or mobile phones and would like Google to use that space. But no, not anymore. Now the search results are squeezed to the left, leaving almost 50% of my screen filled with… nothing!

Come on Google – change it back! As it is now, Google search results pages look like crap

If you enjoy going fishing in Pet Society, keep one thing in mind: You can hold a maximum of 5 of each fish type. If you go and catch another of the same kind, both the fish and your bait will be lost. You still get the 10 paw points for the catch, but that is – in my opinion – not enough “pay” for the effort.

As you can see below, I have a total of 5 starfish, so I need to recycle one if I want to keep the next starfish I catch.

Recycling one starfish gives you 30 recycle points. Better than nothing…

Here’s yet another little tip for Restaurant City. In order to get many customers and thus more money, you need high popularity. But how do you bump it up? Design is the key!

The shorter your waiters have to walk, the better! Look at the picture below. I employ 2 chefs and 1 or 2 waiters per “island” and build two islands like this in my restaurant. With a maximum of 8 employees, I normally have: 4 chefs, 3 waiters and 1 cleaner. If the waiters aren’t placed inside the islands, go to the design screen, move one of the cooking stations, move it back and close the design screen. This should place the waiters the right place,

Placing a couple of toilets and having two islands like the one above will easily boost your restaurant to popularity level 50 as shown below.
